It's time for a new post. I'm having trouble deciding what all to say though. I want to tell you about my ladies Bible study, canning, sewing, and of course Hannah. That's a lot to type about. So here goes.

I just finished leading a 6 week small group ladies Bible study. We did, "Birds In My Mustard Tree" and it was exactly what I needed! Funny how the Lord does that for us. I have always enjoyed attending small groups like this, but haven't always felt "comfortable" leading them. However, the Lord puts us in these roles to grow us and that's exactly what He's done here. On Monday evenings, 10-12 ladies from our church came over for a couple hours to eat, pray, and discuss each chapter. There were times of tears, laughter, and real God-honoring discussion. I'm so thankful for this study, and how it challenged me to see how God was working in my own walk of faith. We were able to see that His disciples...those closest to him...sometimes had to ask Him to increase their faith. We are going to start a new one in September, "Verses We Know By Heart" for those ladies who couldn't come to the evening studies.

Okay, so canning...yes it seems to be a "lost art" for young ladies my age. I'm not sure why I enjoy it so much. Guess it's the Suzie Homemaker in me and the feeling of accomplishment. I have been growing a little garden in the corner of our backyard. It has cucumbers, peppers, okra, and tomatoes. We have a freezer full of okra, jars of dill pickles and all sorts of tomatoes in the pantry, along with a gallon of pickles sitting for 6 weeks so that I can can them. I am still so amazed at how God supplies our every need...even if it's through simple veggies that are given to us by our church family or grown in our own yard. I'm thankful for His provisions!

I've also done a little sewing this week. I don't want to ruin the surprise factor of a gift for my friend Carson, but I made this little dress out of a pillowcase. Her 4th birthday is tomorrow! It was super easy to follow the pattern that I downloaded from the internet. The pillowcase was on clearance at Wal-mart, and was a 2 pack so I'll have it to make another for someone else!

Oh and Miss Hannah...she's busy, busy, busy! We've cooked cupcakes in her play kitchen to share with the baby dolls, played in the little pool fully dressed, walked the neighborhood to meet our neighbors, and made friends with a sweet widow lady across the street. She has a love for dancing these days and wants everybody to join in. Dora is taking a backseat to a new favorite "Word World" on tv and she wants to visit the library often.
We're going out of town this afternoon for an association meeting, so I should be packing. We'll be able to stay with our good friends Chad and Jenny Donoho tonight before spending the day tomorrow at the meeting. They have two sweet children, so I'm looking forward to the playdate for Hannah. I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
