Well, here goes another shot at keeping up my blog. I've promised those at my church in Florence, SC that I would make a better effort to keep it up since we are moving in 19 days. Can you believe it? 19 days, this beautiful home is going to be boxed up and loaded on to a Penske truck going on the adventure of our lives. Perhaps some might disagree with the phrase "adventure of our lives", but I think it is going to be that and so much more. I'm (we) are very excited about this opportunity, but are humbled at the thought that God our Creator has chosen us to do such an awesome work.
Chris has accepted the pastorate position at First Freewill Baptist Church in Florence, AL. Yes, moving from Florence to Florence. This is our first pastorate, major move as a family, and many other firsts I'm sure I don't even know about yet! He will also be the administrator of Florence Christian Academy there at the church. It is K4-12th grade and a daycare. We are jumping in head first it seems, but nonetheless, we're jumping...in faith. Please pray for us as we begin this incredible task! The moving date is Monday, March 23 (my 27th birthday!). It's about a 9 1/2 hour drive, so I'm not sure if we'll make it the entire way or move in on the 24th. I'll post that as I know it.
We're renting a little house near the church for now. We've met a lady willing to work with us month by month until we can sell our home...did I mention that we were selling our home here??? And find a house to buy there. She's been incredible to work with! I'm not wild about posting the new address here with all the crazies in the world to find us, but will give it to Peace Church asap or you can get it from me later.
Hannah is now almost 18 months old and growing like crazy! It's been an adventure packing with her here, she often unpacks what I pack as fast as I can get it in a box. She's great...a true blessing from God. I am so blessed to get to stay at home with her all the time now. So much is going on inside her fiery red-head, I'm almost speechless most days at what she accomplishes and says on her own. Here's the latest pictures of her. Leslie took them the other day while keeping her for me. (I'm gonna miss that convenience too...wonderful spur of the moment babysitters here!)
Enjoy! I'll keep you posted...I promise!!!
