Good afternoon! It's sort of peaceful right now, Hannah is down for her afternoon nap. A lot has happened since the last post. It was quite a busy month. We are doing well. Hannah had her 6 month well visit last week. She's 16 lbs. 2oz. and 26 1/2 inches long. The Dr says she's one of his most consistently growing babies. We've started eating solid foods, which has been an adventure at times. The faces are priceless at this point, she makes a "mmm" sound when she gets a mouth full of sweet potatoes. It's kind of comical too, she sticks her thumb in her mouth almost as quick as you can get the spoon out(sometimes before). She also babbles mama mama and bababa, and occasionally a dadada comes out too. That's been a joy to hear.

Of course this month we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord. It was a unique day, my first to share my birthday with a major holiday. I turned 26 (I know....I'm just a kid). We spent the day at church and then out to lunch with Leslie and the boys. Ben was under the weather. Then of course, March Madness! Our blood ran orange and blue as we watched the TN Vols and later the NC Tarheels.

Also last month, I turned my notice in at work. I'm going to stay home full time with Hannah! We are so excited about this journey as a stay at home mom. Maybe I'll be able to keep up with the blog better this way. My last day is next Friday, April 11th. I'll miss my friends, but this time is precious and I want to soak it up while I can.

Well, I better get back to work. Hope everyone is having a great day. I'll have to add pictures later on. (Sorry, I'm at the wrong computer. )

A quick word...

Hannah and I are expecting some friends for dinner, actually it's "Girls Night". The girls in my Sunday School Class are coming over for our monthly night out together. We're doing a wonderful study, "Lady In Waiting". I'm very excited at what God is doing through our times together.

The Compton house has been quite busy lately. We're all doing very well. I had my gallbladder removed last Wednesday, but praise the Lord!!!!, I'm 100% again. It was a very speedy recovery with only a little pain. Baby Hannah is growing like a weed! She's so wonderful. She is doing new things all the time, like rolling over and sucking her toes.

Well, I better go...the girls are here.

Catching up!

It's a month past Christmas travels and I'm just now finding/making time to post. Chris has gone to get us some dinner and the babe is down for a nap. Things are going very well. We face challenges daily like everyone else, but the Lord sees us through. His mercy is new every morning; for that I am thankful.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. We flew to MO for the weekend and then drove to TN the following one. It was great to see our families. We are very blessed to have been raised in such wonderful, godly homes. Hannah fared well traveling (for the most part). She did very well flying; it was the car seats she didn't like as well. Chris got to experience diaper changing in the airplane lavatory a few times. We had a great time.

Hannah is growing like crazy. We'll see the Dr for her 4 month well-visit this week. She weighed a little over 13 pounds over Christmas, and I'm sure we've gained since then. She is trying real hard to turn over and pushes herself up onto her forearms and looks all around. She has quite the personality now too. She laughs and smiles so much, I love it. And of course, Daddy is wrapped right up in her too. She "kisses" him by grabbing his face and biting down on his nose.

Hope this post finds everyone doing well. We love and miss you all!
